MIDWEST 6 METER DX GROUP
K7TNT

I was introduced to radio at a young age. I don’t remember not having a radio in the house when growing up.
My Father and Mother both where into Citizen band radio in the early Sixties. My father was in the Fire department and both of my parents where involved in the Red Cross back then. They were also in your locale search and recue club that was called CODE 17, all of which used the CB radio. So as growing up radio was part of my life and is still today.

After I grow up and settled down I was naturally drawn to Amateur radio. I was first licensed January 1 1988 as a Novice. I received the call of KA7WOZ. I moved to General Class on March 19, 1988. When the vanity call sing came out, I grabbed the call K7TNT. At the time I was working in drilling and blasting at the mine. Not long after getting my first ham ticket I was mentored by K0WLU Bill.
Bill introduced me to weak signal VHF 2m and 6m CW/SSB. I fell in love with the 6m band and the 6m bug set in. Today I still focus all of my attention to 50 MHz’s.  Thanks for stopping by. Hope to work you on 6m CW/SSB from here in Northeast Wyoming DN74fg. 73
