Hello I'm Dave Gowin K9DRG (DeRG to my friends). Judy and I have been married 45 yrs  have 4 sons and 10 grandchildren. We farm for a living so we have plenty of room for grandkids to roam and grandpa to build towers.  We live just north of Muncie in EC In. EN70hg is the grid. When I was first introduced to the radio hobby back in the seventies I was told something  that I still believe today. If you have $100 dollars to spend on your hobby spend $90 on your antenna system. I still find that true today although it is $900 dollars on your antenna system now.

I find 6 mtrs very interesting and very addictive, The new tower and antennas are finally finished 8/8 on 42' booms at 65' center and 1/2 wave spacing for low s/n.

The tower on the left has a Mosley 67 C-2 @ 75' (as you can see if you have been here before I found some time for a HF antenna) and a G5RV ( I know but good friend gave it to me and it works surprisingly well).
The tower in the center is a 4/4 six mtr array that was on display at Dayton hamfest in our flea mkt space.they are also at 1/2 wave for scatter.(you can't have too many 6mtr antennas) a 220 vert beam for local repeater and a pair of Cubex scorpions 2mtr vertical quads for local work. A 10 mtr beam 7els on 52' boom is under construction but will have to find a place for it.
An H-frame with 4 12 el K1FO antennas and a 160 ant are on the list just need to find more time. Hopefully most of the antenna work can be finished before cycle 24.

The shack is small (I under built). I have plans to move the shack to a new room just off the office where the shack is now. An IC7800 for HF and 6mtr, TS2000 for 2mtr and 440 and a Alinco DR 235 for 220 are the radios of choice. Commander are the amps for 6 and 2 at this time. Looking for a Henry 3006 and possibly a 3002 or even a homebrew.

The mobile also has a TS2000 and a TE Systems 0552G amp with M² ho loop. I use N3FJP's AC Log 3.0 as logging program like it very much.

If you have any questions at all please feel free to e-mail. I'll answer any questions from farming to antennas. I'll review radios that I have and have had, talk about 1/2 wave stacking and dispell some myths that some hold.
