Station Antenna Systems

System #1

  •       8x8 6 meter stack 87 feet at radiation centerline.

Boom construction 6061-T6 .058 double wall Element construction 3/4" center section 5/8" main element. Element mounting (Mosley cast aluminum saddle.

Boom length 40 feet (actual) Boom length 39.57 feet(effective) H-plane gain 23.05 DBi (stacked) F/B ratio 25.0 dbi minimum 37.0 DBi maximum (stacked) Stacking distance 1/2 wave. Design freq. 50.150Mhz.  Matching is W8IF T-Match using Type-N connectors for feed point and 4:1 transformer connection.

System #2

  •       8x8 stacked yagis 45'to rad. centerline(Booms 42'6")spaced 1/2wave.

This system employs the new W8IF HP T-Match enclosed junction point which allows a direct coaxial connection to each antenna. This system yields 17.21 DBI (Free Space) gain with 22.86 DBI (Ground Gain). Main forward H-Plane lobe @6°elevation.

Secondary H-Plane lobe @18°elevation. F/B ratio 35DB min,42DB maximum. Vertical (noise lobe) suppression greater than 45DB.
3DB point forward E-Plane Beamwidth 30°
Individual antennas fed with 1/2" Superflex directly to driven elements.  Power division achieved with "Q Bar"  power divider fed with 7/8" heliax from switching network.

System #3

  • 10 element single yagi at 102 feet(Boom 58'4") W8IF (non-cad design)

System #4

  •       5x5 stacked yagis 30'to rad.centerline(Booms 22'6").  1/2 wave stacking

System #5

  • 7 element single(30.4 foot boom) 1/2 wave above tuned counterpoise used primarily for meteor scatter reception.

 Note:

All antennas fed with 1 5/8"or 7/8" Heliax feed line. (depending on run lengths) Selection of systems is achieved by use of Mil-Spec vacuum antenna switches.  This network controlled from operating position.
